  • Rick Santorum is driving me mad.

I’ve been hearing about Santorum’s idiotic statements and stances nearly daily now, and if I hear too much more of it, I might just go insane. The fact that he’s anywhere near getting elected- shit, anywhere near getting nominated for the Republican party- is extremely startling. Hell, it’s fucking terrifying. I wonder if Rick Santorum has even so much as cracked open the United States Constitution. You know, that little scrap of paper that dictates the right’s of U.S. citizens and what the government can and can’t do? I’m not even sure what Rick Santorum think’s he’s doing. I know he can’t get elected, and even if he could, I doubt he would pass most, if not any of his theocratic legislation, but then again, people like Hitler rise to power, and you wonder how that happens. Speaking of the correlation between Adolf Hitler and Rick Santorum: Guess what two people support or did supported non-secular public schools? That’s right! Rick Santorum and Adolf Hitler! Yay maniacal fuck-wads!

Let’s take a look at some of Rick Santorum’s stances, shall we?

In regards to higher education, to which Santorum is very opposed to, he said the following:

“62 percent of kids who go into college with a faith commitment leave without it.”

Now let’s find the actual figure, because this is obviously wrong. In actuality, 76 percent of people who never enrolled in college reported a decline in church attendance. People who don’t go to college show more of a decline in religiosity than those who do attend college. Great job, Rick!

    Rick Santorum thinks contraceptives are:

“a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be”

Well, that’s fucking fantastic there Rick. Fucking great. A nice realization indeed, Rick. A fucking wonderful notion. Except, what you think should be the norm for people sexually in their own bedrooms doesn’t really matter, does it? No. Now shut the fuck up.

Here’s Rick’s opinion on what the fuck people do in their own privacy.

“If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything.”

You have the right to polygamy? Well, seeing as that involves multiple wives, and marrying someone takes some legal documents, then polygamy can’t be done in the privacy of their own home or bedroom. So comparing polygamy to, for instance, gay sex in the privacy of a bedroom where no one else will ever know the difference, is fucking retarded. You have the right to anything? That’s just another stupid thing to compare to intercourse that occurs in privacy. You lose again Rick.

Now we find ourselves reading what Santorum thinks about Separation of Church and State:

“I don’t believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute.”

Well, Rick, it seems like you don’t believe in America at all, because here in America, separation of church and state is absolute. Let me prove it with an exerpt from that little scrap of paper I mention earlier, I believe they call it the consummation or the constipation…. oh yeah, the Constitution.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ….”

There we go! So I don’t see how making sodomy illegal or banning contraceptives because it doesn’t line up with your christian family model is constitutional at all.

So, Rick, please stop running for president. You don’t believe in the constitution, and want to change this country to the benefit of only part of it’s citizens, as not even all Christians align themselves with your bullshit. You can’ squander the rights of homosexuals, atheists, and the like. Shit, sometimes I wish it was a crime to be so stupid, but if I literally believed that, I’d be stooping down to Rick’s level.
